Enzo De Rosa lernte ich im Rahmen eines Projektes kennen, das ich mit Jerry Marotta ins Leben gerufen, das wir aber aufgrund logistischer und Zeitprobleme leider auf Eis legen mussten. (Auch wenn wir immer wieder sagen: Aufgeschoben ist nicht aufgehoben.)
Enzo ist ein vielseitiger Musiker, Pianist und Komponist, der in Neapel, Italien, geboren wurde und im Alter von 6 Jahren mit dem Klavierunterricht begann. Er lebt und wirkt in Montréal, Kanada. Dort schreibt er vorwiegend Filmmusik und erweckt diese – wie ich scherzhaft sage – mit seinen Montréal Pocket Philharmonics zum Leben. In Enzo schlägt ein großes, italienisches, klassisches Herz, das aber auch der Pop- und Rockmusik zugewandt ist.
Nachdem das andere Projekt auf Eis lag, ich aber seine Arrangements einfach großartig fand, fragte ich ihn, ob die Enzo De Rosa Montréal Pocket Philharmonics etwas zu Wizard of Oz beitragen könnten? Wir diskutierten ein wenig hin und her, wie das in den energetischen Ablauf des Songs passen würde und Enzo lieferte eine traumhafte Orchesterkulisse, die nun in der Version Unfounded Opinion in Cinemascope prominent gefeatured wird. In den anderen Versionen stecken mal mehr oder mal weniger Anteile. Oder um beim Thema des Gefühlte-Wahrheiten Projektes zu bleiben: Manchmal bleiben Menschen im realen Leben bei ihren Geschichten, aber beteiligen sich in anderen Gesprächsrunden mit anderen Leuten mal mehr, mal weniger an einer Konversation. Diese Rolle übernimmer auf der EP Enzos Orchester.

In the other versions, there are sometimes more or fewer orchestral elements. Or, to stick with the theme of the Felt Truths project: sometimes people stick to their stories in real life but participate more or less in a conversation depending on the setting. On the EP, Enzo’s orchestra takes on this role.
